So, the Polaris 380 that came with the pool when we bought the house 10 years ago has finally given up the ghost. I got the green light from the better half to purchase a replacement, so now it is decision making time. I am looking at a Dolphin s200 for approx $700 or a replacement Polaris 380 for $640. The benefits of the 380 are slightly cheaper, readily available replacement parts and relatively easy to work on, and I just replaced the booster pump motor. Benefits of the S200 are active brushes, cleans to the waterline, and the baskets hold more debris. Any other input and pros/cons would be greatly appreciated.

Someone mentioned this new Polaris pressure cleaner that has many of the features of a robot cleaner.

Energy savings with the S200. The pressure side cleaner is really spendy to run with loads of electricity. That Polaris 3-wheel is 30 year old tech. Works well for big leaves, but so does the S200. Swimming around large tubes vs pulling a simple cord out of the pool. I vote the cord=robot!
