Hi all, just joined. I have a 20X32 pool with a 8x14 sun shelf. Current pool cleaner is shot and never would clean the sun shelf or the steps. Looking at Dolphin but trying to decide between the Sigma, s400i, or the S200.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Go with the cheapest unit you can get with the minimal number of features you prefer. No cleaner/robot will ever clean shelves or benches properly, they are just not capable of that. So don’t waste money on fancy features you will never use. These robots don’t last long, expect 3-5 years of life before a catastrophic failure kills it. It is not financially feasible to repair them outside of their warranties. The S200 is the typical recommendations.

4195,

The robot has to be completely underwater for it to work. Most sun-shelves are not deep enough for the robots to clean them.

I agree with Matt about not getting a robot with all the bells and whistles which you will not use and just cost more.

I have three pools that all have S200 'style' robots. I love them. But, like Matt, they are not for everyone.

Maytronics makes the same basic S200 style robots with different names for different sales channels. S200, Warrior SE, Active 20 are all the same except for the color and minor cosmetic changes. Probably other names as well.

I suggest that you call Margaret and see what she can do for you. Free two day delivery, and no tax.

Chall, how about giving us a Signature Line with details about your pool, size and finish, equipment in use, how you chlorinate and test.
It helps us know when we go to try to answer questions. You can find it under <Settings>. Thanks.
