I was not aware that the foam climbing rings on the ends of the rubber brushes can wear down over time. If they are below the level of the rubber brushes they should be replaced.
I just replaced the climbing rings on my Dolphin Premier and the difference in performance was dramatic. It moved more quickly, covered the bottom of the pool more thoroughly and, of course, climbed and cleaned the tile line better.
