I am about to purchase a new pool cleaner and I am torn between these two. the PowerStream mobility seems pretty nice on the s200 but the review for the cc plus are all good.
Please send your feedback especially if you owned the two.

M,

I have several robots and my Premier has the same basic filter cartridges as the CC plus... I just bought an S200 for my daughter's pool and it is better. It has a huge filter basket compared to my Premier and the Nautilus cc plus.. If you don't get much falling into your pool then either will work fine.

I plan to upgrade to the S200 at my house and move my Premier over to a rent house to replace a 15 year old Dolphin Diagnostic..

Side note... If you want to be called by your first name, rather than your sceen-name, just add it to the first line in your signature...

Thanks,

Jim R.

Thank you for your feedback Jim. If we put aside the basket size, functionality wise, do you think the PowerStream mobility is superior to the clever clean?
Guillaume.

Guillaume,

My personal opinion is that most of that is Marketing Speak...

I do notice that my Premiere comes up the wall and tilts when it get to the tile line.. This tilt moves it along the tile for a foot or so... The S200 does not tilt and is moved down the tile line by a water jet..

I have not seen the CC plus in action... The idea that the cleaner maps out the pool is not quite true.. As soon as you turn off the power it has to start over anyway. I've taken my cleaners to different pools and they don't seem to care.. :)

It appears to me that the S200, 300, 300i are newer products...

Let's see if one of our members with a CC Plus can chime in...

Thanks,

Jim R.

Guillaume,
I have a Nautilus for 5 years. It does a great job on the bottom. It does climb the walls and does decent, but it doesnt cover 100 percent of them. When it gets to the top of the waterline, it moves sideways about a foot and then falls off. Much like Jim mentioned his does.

The robots with power stream will probably to a little better job on the walls, but if you maintain your chemistry correctly, there shouldnt be much on the walls to begin with.

The difference in the CC and the regular nautilus is just the filter location and basic case design. The performance is the same.

My nautilus is about flat worn out, and so I'll be replacing it this year. I'll be going with one of teh models with the power stream because I like that feature, but I dont expect it to actually clean any better than the Nautilus.

As for the clever clean?.. uh... yeah....I'll believe it when I see it.

What happens when the external power comes on on the Maytronics cleaners like the s200? Does it just start a cleaning cycle?

I know with my TigerShark that's how it behaves. So with external control of the AC power (timer, alexa, whatever) you can start or schedule a cycle.

Just curious on how the Maytronics cleaners respond to AC power going off/on. I'm probably going to craigslist my TigerShark and move to an s200.

We’re getting hammered by 30 mph winds tonight and the pool is gonna need a thorough cleaning. (Ugh!). So what lifespan do ya propose for the dolphin products? Is 5-7 years a good goal? My current Kreepy is 4 years old but was only used for a year before renovating my IFCS on another pool.
A neighbor bought the CC off Amazon for $579 about a year ago and I still see it doing its thing in their pool. I believe it doesn’t have the bin size of the S200/3/3i and I think a secondary Motor so I’d go for the Active 20/s200
