Dolphin Nautilus CC screw has no threads.. normal?

Those are self-tapping machine screws. Obviously the one screw was not threaded and so when assembly was done it never cut the threads into the plastic. Just go to the hardware store and get an exact match to the threaded screw you have and screw it into the plastic hole where there are no threads. The new screw will cut the threads into the plastic. Use a hand screwdriver only and don’t try to fully torque it … just an even gentle turning.

That’s a good idea. It’s basically brand new so I’ll give it a closer inspection to see if there are any other defects.

Just found this in the filter basket after a clean.. Nothing seems to be missing in the pool however I can’t seem to find anything missing in the robot either unless this was deep in there.
Check your pool brush. It may have come from the ones that hold the brush to the aluminum support.

have no idea what you’re talking about lol
Ok shucks. :( My Walmart brush dropped the exact screws you found, with what appeared to be lock tite and not plastic or rubber on them.

Anywho. Everyone stay away from this one. It didn't brush well, it dropped screws and barely lasted the season.
