I replaced the power cable on my Nautilus and now I'm trying to move the floats that came with the vacuum to the new cable. The actual cable swap was easy but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to remove these floats.

I've tried jamming very tiny screwdrivers into the slots but so far I've only managed to damage the plastic. I feel like I'm missing something very simple as there are many videos on youtube about how to swap the cable. They show you how to put the floats back on but skip over the removal.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
