Good to know much time and money is being devoted to telling people that not breathing can lead to death. Such information really is too hidden from the general public...
I read something similar from not breathing, only it was a young adult who could hold
his breath a very long time. He did it for too long once and had minor brain damage.
anyhoo, same as a lot of folks here 90% of my swim time is alone. I love it.
Just me in the water, playing some tunes and floating on a chair in the sun.
I choose to drive a 50+ year old classic car with only lap belts. I'm far more likely to die in my Corvair than my pool and I'm not giving up the car so swimming alone is not an issue for me either. Life has risks. You manage them and accept the consequences.
If I waited for someone to swim with me I would never get to swim. Funny enough, I have a pool sign with safety rules, no diving, etc. And the last rule is "Do not swim alone". Oops.
