Do i need to slam if my CC is never .5

No need to SLAM if you don't have problems holding chlorine.

Your stable low pH is quite interesting. Do you have a pool cover that's mostly on?

Thanks! Yes, but I have started taking it off. I bought a Small fountain yesterday and hope that will provide some of the aeration needed. Small pool doesn't have a way to aerate. My other one did but not this.

For clarity, a SLAM and pH control are unrelated.

A SLAM is used to kill algae caused by lack of chlorine.
pH control is managed by either acid to lower or aeration/baking soda to raise. Management of your TA and aeration in your pool also influence pH.

So long as you always maintain your fc above minimum for your cya level

then you should not need to slam (barring some accident) as algae should not grow.

The indications of needing to do the
SLAM Process are:
Having visible algae/cloudy water,
Cc’s above .5ppm,
Fc has fallen to zero,
Or have failed an Overnight Chlorine Loss Test
