Do I just cap the ph regulator port when calibrating?

(Sorry if the answer is obvious.)

I am trying to figure out how to pull my Astralpool ph regulator probe and power the regulator while I calibrate it.

There’s no way to bypass the pipe where the probe (and chlorinator) are. Up the line it splits to a pool robot vac.

The regulator is on the same circuit as the filter pump, so no way to calibrate unless the pump is on as far as I can tell. Do I just cap the probe port?

I’m trying to pull the ph calibrator probe thingy from the pipe, then run the ph regulator (not shown) so that I can determine whether the regulator needs calibration. I’ve also seen winterizing kits designed to store probes, but I haven’t got that far.

If I remove the probe and try to power the regulator, the pump has to be on, so water shoots from the hole where the probe was inserted. Thing is, I’ve looked high and low on pool supply websites for a cap (seemingly not included with the regulator per the documentation I can find.

To the right is the swg cell. I have a cap (but need a gasket) for removal of the cell during winter. I’ve seen this cap and gasket on pool supply websites.

I know you are in France, but you should be able to find a pvc plug at a plumbing supply or hardware store...Use the plug when you remove the probe.

Wire the regulator (control box) so you can power it without the pump for calibration purposes.
