Greetings All -
After swim season and prior to closing last year, I got sloppy with my pH and opened this year to discover a nice sandpapery grit of scale on the walls and floor of my pool.
In an effort to dissolve the scale, I've temporarily taken my CSI to around -.6 per the advice in this thread: How to remove and prevent scaling?
My question is this: Will my CH rise as the scale is dissolved back into solution? (This is my working assumption based on the CH page and my current CH level of 270 which is lower than usual)
Current measurements per my K2006 test kit and AquaChek salt test strips in case anyone is curious:
FC: 9
pH: 7.3
TA: 75
CH: 270
CYA: 50
Salt: 3750
Temp: 76 - 80 recently
Thanks -
-Pete
