I've been running through a gallon of liquid chlorine every day, so I checked my CYA. As I expected it was low - it was 20. I added 3 chlorine tablets to my feeder, and the pool got worse and turned green within 2 days. I decided I needed to raise CYA to 40-60 to SLAM my pool again, and bought a pack of 16 oz dichlor pool shock. I added 2 bags earlier this afternoon, and then 1 gallon of liquid chlorine in front of the returns after sundown. I realized I have the dichlor, liquid sodium hypochlorite, and trichlor tablets in the feeder. I didnt think it was a potential problem, but a little research showed that none of these should be combined, especially the trichlor and drichlor in the feeder. Isnt the dichlor running through the feeder and combining with the tablets? Is this dangerous?
Did I just make a possibly dangerous mistake by adding multiple chlorine types?

No, none of that is a problem. But I urge you to read pool school and learn about proper pool maintenance.

Just to be clear, you don't have a combo of any different tablets in the feeder? That would be bad.
As far as having triclor tablets in the feeder and putting a different forms of chloring in from of the pump suction - you'll be ok. My preference is to add the chlorine in front of the pump discharge, just so you're not putting caustic chemicals directly into the pump, but probably not a huge deal.

Running through the feeder is different then putting the physical chemicals IN the feeder.
You should never mix different types of chlorine IN the same feeder.
Using different types of chlorine in the pool is safe provided they are added from different feeders.

You don't need to raise your CYA at all prior to a SLAM. In fact, that is the opposite thing to do. The lower the CYA level, the less chlorine required for an effective SLAM. You would bring your CYA level to the recommended level after SLAM is complete.

I am assuming you added the dichlor directly to the pool water & not the skimmer (adding things to the skimmer is a no no).
If that was dissolved into the pool water then you are fine. Same with the liquid chlorine. You didn’t throw them in at the same time. They should both be well mixed before the water ever made come with your feeder. Always brush well so nothing sits on your pool surface.
Also, beware of the acidic effects of Trichlor & especially dichlor.
