I am with your wife!! I LOVE that tile! Now something you can do to make it really pop is use it as accent pieces. Have a solid color tile for most of the waterline with those extra pretty ones here and there to make they pop!

Update: We made last minute changes to the tile and decided to not use stone at all for the wall. My wife wanted the wall to be all tile and I think it turned out great. They just finished the tile/coping today and should start the deck work very soon. Now we have to decide on plaster color. Would a lighter/brighter blue like Stonescapes Aqua White look better with the darker tile or a darker blue like Stonescapes Tropics Blue be better? We originally were going with Midnight Blue but I’m afraid it’s too dark and the water will be too hot as we have a good amount of sun on the pool the majority of the day.

I think either will look good with the tile... I think it comes down to what color water you want and what look you want for your pool surface... both would be beautiful....we are renovating ours and going with tropics blue but mainly because I have a light blue quartz now and just want a change... little darker color etc.
 
We finally have water! We decided on Stonescapes Aqua White w/Abalone shell hand cast. Only landscaping to go then we will finally be done!

Just went through your thread since I have just joined and am about to start my own pool journey. I wanted to say that I LOVE the tile on the back wall. It looks beautiful and I am glad you chose the aqua white because it makes the color tile on the wall pop more. Beautiful pool.
