So, we're getting MUCH needed rain (yay!), to the tune of several inches in a few hours. I went out to start draining, then checked that the water was flowing out. My nice, WARM water was flowing out. 
I just turned off the heater and chlorinator until we finish draining, (an hour or so) and if I get a burst of moral fiber, I'll go out and switch to the main drain so we're draining cooler water. We've had parties and kiddies a LOT lately, so I've been running the FC on the high side, so no worries there. Of course, I had just added MA and CYA. Once Noah's dove comes back safely, I'll do a full test and get all the numbers tuned up again.
