The EasyTouch does not have any Ethernet capability..

EW11 connects to RS-485 comm in the EasyTouvh.

I am hoping to connect an ew11 to my Easytouch, and have read that I need to get the antenna out of the metal box for a good signal. Should I use an extension cable for the antenna, or an extension cable for the rj45 connector? Any suggestions on what type of cable I need?

You will want to use a shielded CAT5e or higher for the RJ45 extension. DO NOT try to extend the antenna port. It will only lead to issues.
