My poor wife took the kids for a swim this evening when I was at work. They just got in when the pump automatically shut off and out of the skimmer popped a dead squirrel...
It was a very small one and must have made its way into the pool early in the morning. My CYA was 50 and FC is 8.5 after I scooped it out. I then added a few cups of chlorine to bring the FC up to 11.
My understanding is that if your chlorine is in the ideal range then you shouldn't need to do much, however I've seen some people suggest slamming, which I'd prefer not to do since I want to swim tomorrow
Thoughts?
