Have replaced all 8 grids...replaced manifold and stem pipe...replaced spider gasket..replaced multi port top valve.. I replaced each item one at a time to see if that item corrected problem. No luck. Filter is Pentair fns 60.. dont think anything else possible to replace..Any suggestion would be great...Thx

Welcome to TFP! :wave: To get blown-out the jets, something is certainly off. Curious .... you appear to have replaced quite a few parts already. Was it leaking DE before the replacements, or is that what prompted the changes? If we assume (hate to assume) that everything was reassembled nicely, and none of the new parts are not defective (crack or tear), any chance something is missing when compared to the parts illustration (below)? Standpipe o-ring present? Lubed if required? If not, I keep coming back to the center pipe, manifolds, or a grid - either in the fabric or connections to the manifold itself.

@Jimrahbe any thoughts?

Yes started noticing the DE at pool bottom so was insructed to start with grids so swapped all out. Then manifold etc one at a time still same thing.. I have lubed the o rings, made sure everything secure.. any chance manifold can pop off standpipe or move up enough to allow thru.

D,

When you start your pump up in the morning, do you see large bubble for a minute or so before they go away? If so, the problem may not be that the DE is passing through the filter, but rather your DE filter is draining back into the pool when the pump is off, taking some DE with it

I assume you have replaced or checked the O-Ring on the stand pipe pipe...

It appears to me you have replaced all the normal parts that can allow the DE to pass through the filter..

Thanks,

Jim R.

No bubbles.. after replacing everything and had DE on pool floor yesterday morning i took all apart cleaned grids again and made sure everything looked I put back together and turned filter on. I then put in more DE and checked this morning and again on bottom. Pump never shut off after i added DE. O ring and stand pipe brand new. I put new o ring on old standpipe before buying new standpipe and help. At a complete loss. Leslies pool says there is nothing else to replace? I guess i will check again on the new grids but did same with old grids and seen no rips in old ones either..

D, along with Jim's question ... do you have a check valve before the pump? Maybe post a pic of your equipment pad?

D,

How much DE is getting into the pool? Can you see it coming out of the returns? Can you use a sock or something and actually capture it?

Does it just do it right after you charge the system with new DE or does it continue to collect each day?

Since you have replaced everything and still have the problem, I'm not sure what the next step should be... :scratch:

I can see the water get little cloudy in spa but if i charge it in afternoon the next morning you see some on bottom of pool where the jets are aimed. Gets more everyday then aprx 4 days or so its almost all gone off the grids and all over bottom.. Guess I will have to get a pool repair guy out to check.. I will post the results..Again thanks for the help..

D,

Well, you have kicked by rear because I can't think of anything else.. It is things like this that has made me into a Cartridge filter guy.. No DE, no MVP, just dirt level simple...

If you discover what it is please let us know...
