I am on day 5 of a SLAM. Water is mostly clear but has a greenish tint to it. We are losing too much chlorine during the day and aren't coming close yet to passing an OCLT. When I woke up this morning, I did a full test of my water and the results were as follows: FC: 5, CC: 1, PH 7.2, TA: 60, CYA: less than 30. Before I started the SLAM, PH was 7.8 and CYA appeared to be around 20. I added enough stabilizer to the pool in front of a deep end return to get the CYA to 30, according to pool math. We got 2 inches of rain on Tuesday and I had to drain a lot of water out of the pool because of this. We have backwashed the pool 4 times during these 5 days and lost a lot of water to backwashing as well. Should the CYA that I added be registering by now or do I need to add more CYA since I've drained so much water out? If so, how much do I add since I don't know exactly what the CYA is? I don't think it is zero since I can't see the dot clearly at 30, but I have no idea if its closer to 20 or if its closer to 10. I normally confirm my CYA results by taking a sample to a pool store but I can't do that today. Do I need to do anything about the low PH if it is 7.2 and the low TA if it is 60 or is it okay to proceed with the SLAM with the PH and TA that low?
