Dark stain on vinyl liner...

Have a dark ring around top of pool liner, above water level. Anyone got a product or hack they recommend?

Can you describe the ring? Is it really gummy and smears when you rub it? That would describe a scum line. Not sure about on vinyl, but whenever I get it I rub gently with a Magic Eraser to remove it. Others may have another recommendation.

No its dry. Some of it comes off when wet it and rub with your finger but didnt want to use something that causes suds or otherwise impacts the temperamental chemistry of the pool. Magic Eraser seems logical, might give that a whirl.
