How did you get the test numbers?

We really, really only trust the gold standard of testing, which is one of these test kits: Swimming Pool Test Kits Compared
The best is the one from TFtestkits.net - sized to meet the needs for an entire season, and always fresh reagents. Get the Pro Salt version, as it includes the game changing speed stir, and has the salt test for your SWCG.

If your test results are suspect, we'd send you down a wrong path as what to add when, and how much.

All those caveats aside, raising FC is always most important. But they can be done together, just make your FC target align with the end amount of CYA you are shooting for. The Free Chlorine and Cyanuric Acid Relationship

I am ordering a test kit from TFtestkits and there is an option for add ons? speaking of the TF-Pro Salt. Is this something I should add?

Get this one: TF-Pro Salt
No need for any of the add-ons. The meters are fun, but can be problematic with keeping calibrated, and in the end, what comes standard is more than good enough (and more consistently accurate than the meters can be).
The pH part of the kit is a bit subjective, but as long as it registers that you are in the 7's range, it is good enough.
The CYA test gives most people fits the first few times, Read more here: CYA Testing - Further Reading

tftestkits does sell premixed water with a CYA of 50 in it, so you can use that to judge what you should be seeing when doing the test. Standard Solutions
The other standard solutions are almost never needed, unless you have big issues with color perception.

I always recommend the SLAM option for newbs and those with swamps. They will both be using more FC tests than usual and they get double the tests with that option.

The TFPro salt is the regular TFPro and the salt test bundled for further savings. Its a slam dunk of value.

Ahem. Excuse my terrible manners.

Welcome to TFP !!!!!
