New here and new pool owner! What is the best/first approach to address CYA and FC? Both are too low 0/1 respectively.

How did you get the test numbers?
We really, really only trust the gold standard of testing, which is one of these test kits: Swimming Pool Test Kits Compared
The best is the one from TFtestkits.net - sized to meet the needs for an entire season, and always fresh reagents. Get the Pro Salt version, as it includes the game changing speed stir, and has the salt test for your SWCG.
If your test results are suspect, we'd send you down a wrong path as what to add when, and how much.
All those caveats aside, raising FC is always most important. But they can be done together, just make your FC target align with the end amount of CYA you are shooting for. The Free Chlorine and Cyanuric Acid Relationship
