I live in wv and we just got our first bit of warm days. I had high cya last fall so thought I’d check it to see how much I’m going to have to drain AND if I’m doing it right- it’s gone from 90-100 down to 40-50. Is that possible over a winter? Or am I getting a false reading because the water hasn’t been stirred up yet? Help! And can I just say I HATE the CYA test!

It is certainly possible. What is the water temp, need to ensure the water warms up to about 70 (in the house) before doing the test

Was there any FC still in the water?
How does the water look?
