I have came across a lot of posts about not back-washing if you set a sock filled with CYA in your skimmer basket due to it sitting in the filter. What if you have it sitting in your skimmer basket but the pool is on circulate bypassing the filter? Is it safe to backwash as you would if you were hanging CYA int front of return?
