CYA on border of too high - should i drain?

My CYA is at 70 - my FC is at 7. Should I drain or just wait for the CYA to naturally come down with backwash and depletion?

You have a SWG, so as a salt pool, and CYA of 70 is a good place to be.

k - i was losing FC pretty fast even with this CYA level - i discovered that i had a bio film in my deep end - i did a thorough brushing last night and added liquid chlorine, i also ran my robot with the fine filter and kept my pump at high speed over night. The water is very clear. Should i do an overnight loss test? Should I be thinking about SLAM?

If you had some sliminess or film, it could very-well be algae. But you certainly could do an Overnight Chlorine Loss Test to be sure a SLAM is needed. Remember when doing an OCLT the SWG must be off.
