Cya level

I have a salt water pool and a cya of 30 , looking at the cart is says 30 is not recommended, why is that?
Also are there any articles etc that show if cya is higher that the fc needs to be higher. I’m not doubting the site it’s just odd that all other internet sites and stores always say 1-3 ppm for fc

With a lower CYA, the pool will have a higher daily FC demand (how much FC it uses). More FC means the cell works harder. We raise CYA to lengthen the cell life.

That's old and bad advice. Eventually, people find their way to TFP and never look back.
