wondering why when I configure results in pool mat according to recommendation levels ie ph etc the csi gets worse?
my ph is always around 8 and adjusting on app just makes csi worse.
if I put in all recommended numbers csi is bad??

Welcome to the forum.

Unless you have high CH fill water or a SWCG you do not need to stress over CSI. If you keep your pH in the 7's, the TA and CH were they are now, CSI will take care of itself. Again, unless you have a SWCG, CSI can be between -0.6 and 0.6 without issue.

Your signature shows 'water fall'. If that is run alot that will drive your pH up. Try to run it only when you want the ambiance. Otherwise turn it off.

Take care.

Marty - somewhat hijacking the thread - if you have SWGC, what should the CSI range be?

With SWCG - it is best to keep your CSI between -0.6 and 0.0. That keeps your SWCG from scaling.

With high CH fill water, eventually it becomes a challenge, but doable.

Thank you for all your replies.
not a salt pool , I use bleach and some 73% cal hypo
if I put ph at 7.6 on the pool math csi goes to -0.350 I guess this is within range but I thought csi 0.04 was better or closer to middle?
What is the ideal spot to dial in? Kind of meticulous.

Pool temp is 67 degrees

Within the range of -0.6 and 0.6 in your case.

Water temperature effects it pretty significantly. Your pool is pretty benign. I would not even track CSI. Just keep your water chemistry in the ranges suggested in Pool School - Recommended Levels

Take care.
