Hi,
The pool calcuator says CSI less than -0.6 is problematic for plaster pools and over 0.6 for all pools. I have all my levels 'just right' , however my CSI is -0.07 which is less than the -0.6 , so what can I do to get it to say -0.8 or so ? thx
 
Your on the money at -0.07, it’s very close to zero but still slightly negative. -0.6 is way less, almost 10X lower, or more negative. Draw up a quick number line.
Higher: +1... +0.6 +0.5 +0.4 +0.3 +0.2 +0.1 0 (-0.07) -0.1 -0.2 -0.3 -0.4 -0.5 -0.6... -1 :lower

-0.07 CSI is fine.

CSI needs to be out of range for months to do damage to the surface. Short times out of range as chemicals drift is not a problem. Just correct levels to bring CSI back negative.

I've always thought - for consistency - the recommendations should show 2 decimal places....
0.60 instead of 0.6 --- So -0.07 is much closer to zero than -0.60 and is well within range.

For your SWG pool - anywhere from 0.00 to -0.30 is good.
