PS. Can someone with this cell measure the "cutout" length of cell + flow switch? Trying to figure out if it's an easy install to replace my Edge-40, or "won't fit" in which case I'll probably just buy a new Edge cell. From edge of flow switch to edge of union. I'm guessing about 20", but could be more.

So, 13 + 4 + 6 for 2 unions = 23" minus 3 for the slip joints. I might have a spare inch! Depends a bit of I can reuse half an existing union. I've noticed not all unions are created equal. Are all threads the same? $600 for a new cell is looking more promising!

Pool manufacturers often use proprietary union threads.

Here is my system - the end of the tape measure is at the end of the flow switch "tee", and there is a little extra length of PVC between the flow switch and the SWCG cell.

Thanks! Looks like my 20" guess was right on. 22" minus 2" into the slip.
