Cracks in spa dam wall

I’m looking at a couple cracks in the dam wall separating a spa and pool. The biggest cracks are about an 1/8” to 1/4” and seem to lead to hollow areas inside the shotcrete. I’ve leveled out the wall but haven’t started the tiling process yet. Assuming I should fill these cracks prior to applying bondcoat… What is the best product for this? Is there anything else I should do to prevent future failure? Thanks!

Welcome to TFP.

Did you water the gunite for at least 7 days after it was shot?

Cracking is what concrete does as it cures and shrinks. I don't think any of those cracks are cause for worry. You can fill the cracks with hydraulic cement.

Do you have a Pool Builder under contract?

Thanks for responding.

Yes, we kept wet for 7 days after it was shot.

I’m not to worried about the little cracks but just want to take any precautions now before I lay tile.

This is an owner builder project. I had the shotcrete guy take a look and he didn’t seem too concerned but I guess you’d expect that.

I will try hydraulic cement. Thanks again!
