Cracked Heater Inlet Union

I just noticed that the threaded twist knob of the union connecting the incoming PVC pipe to the Pentair heater has a large crack in it. To replace the union I will need to cut the incoming PVC pipe & replace a 90-degree elbow & the union itself. My question is: Is the PVC pipe (& fittings) standard schedule 40 or something different used in pool applications? Thank you so much.

It's standard Schedule 40.

Search on split nut union. Here is a link to one heater union split nut. I don't know what equipment you have installed so look at the specs of each one closely. I used one last year on my SWG.

I discoverd that the half-union adapter (Pentair part #PKG188) that connects to the water inlet of the Pentair MasterTemp 400 heater is a proprietary Pentair product.
