Crack in skimmer body?

I’m doing a bucket test currently, but in my inspection I found this gap/crack in the skimmer housing (located in the found part at about 9:00-3:00 in the photo). Is this normal? There does appear to be either some glue or epoxy around 5:00 in the circle. Thanks !

I don't think that is a crack.

That looks like the skimmer basket support ring.

If that was a crack the pool would empty to that line pretty quickly.

Someome used some putty to hold it in place.
