County Approval - PB wants to pull an OB permit

My PB is running into issues with the county for one reason or another with the approval of a media wall. It was on the original plans, and approved, but 6 months later they came back and wanted revisions. They made the revisions and the permit has been kicked back and now is sitting and not much activity.

They were told if they submitted an OB permit it would be quicker approval and not be kicked back. I’ve included a screen shot from the county site for the permit.

Should I be concerned and or push back?

Why is the wall being rejected? Your PB should build you a code compliant wall, not look for a way to bypass the requirements.

From what I was told it appears to be more of a processing issue vs a code issue. The inspection would still occur and be permitted.

I did some more digging yesterday, and it appears they only have an A-10 pool license and the required license is C-18 (masonry) license. The contractor they listed on the OB permit has a valid C-18 license, but I’m not sure why that contractor isn’t submitting for the permit vs the PB submitting on my behalf.
