Hi Everyone,

So I had setup a company to help me open the pool for the first time but they where suppose to show up at 1pm and by 5pm they didn't. Below is what I did let me know what I missed and the heater noise?

1) Drained Cover and took it off
2) Scrubbed the walls and floor and set the pool bot out for 3hrs
3) Installed pump drain plug
4) Installed Sand Filter drain plug
5) Installed pressure gauge sand filter
6) Installed see through glass
7) Checked everything to make sure it was all tight
8) Installed strainers and jet eye ball
9) Filled the pool and when the water was at the normal spot on the skimmer opened the valves
10) Everything worked :)
11) Let everything cycle for 2hrs then turned on the heater and tested

Levels
PH 7.2
FC 3
CYA 30
Salt 2200

Added after testing
30oz of Stabilizer
36oz of Bleach

Tomorrow I will add 64x pds of salt and see how things work out. Water temp is 64 and turned on the heater to 74 to make sure its working ok.

Couple of questions
1) The sand filter took about 2hrs to get the air out is that ok?
2) The heater sounds like it has air in it, what can I do to get it out?
3) The water now looks a slight bit cloudy I am assuming its because of the scrubbing
4) I used last years chlorine I bought it in the fall and figured it was fine is that ok? I left it in the shed over the winter.

5) Did I miss anything?

Thanks T

Yes.

Let the pump run for a while and it should clear.

Do a Overnight Chlorine Loss Test

4) I used last years chlorine I bought it in the fall and figured it was fine is that ok? I left it in the shed over the winter.

It is probably half strength or less.

5) Did I miss anything?

Probably.
