Corrosion folks - AGP step railing

Hi all,

See picture. Any thoughts on what type of paint I can use on the corroded areas? It will be submerged.

Prep work is the key here. That piece needs to be sandblasted down to bare metal and all rust removed. Then it needs to be hit with an acid metal prep. For the finish I would suggest several coats of a good automotive grade enamel.

Thanks. I don't have a sandblaster so perhaps getting new ones is most economical.... if I can find them of course.

Sandblasting is the easiest way. You could also use a power sander or even sand by hand.
