Correct pool RPM question

Our pool is up and running now. I'm wondering what the correct RPM I should have the pump at when it runs. I currently have it set at 2k and set to run for 8 hours a day.

Our free pool service just ended and I'll be taking over. Waiting for the arrival of my TFP kit so I can get numbers and put them into the pool math app.

By your signature it does not show a SWCG. That is correct? Are you using an inline chlorinator(trichlor)?

If no SWCG, then you only need to run at an RPM to efficiently skim the surface. I would suggest reducing it to 1200 rpm and try that. If that does not skim well, go to 1400 rpm.

You can also program in a higher rpm time for an hour or so during the day to assist in skimming.

The tablet feeder will most likely need a much higher RPM as you approach summer to get sufficient erosion of the tablets. We do not recommend using the tablets/pucks as your primary chlorinating method. A SWCG or the daily addition of liquid chlorine is recommended.

I would suggest you seriously look into installing a SWCG. Do you have an automation system?
