Just the top part is duct tape, the bottom is white coping. I'm a new pool owner and we bought the house with duct tape in place. I'm really looking for the best "Cheap" Option that may hold up for 2 years, by then we plan to replace the liner and coping all the way around the pool.
My guess is they put the duct tape on when they did whatever they did to the deck and there is coping under the duct tape. Have you looked under it? Scary?
That's what I'd do. It actually looks pretty good. Better if it were tightly adhered. Just get the best super heavy duty outdoor white variety. Maybe the Gorilla brand?
