New to forum.
Contractor was it put in bull nose coping in travertine but did not. Came home from work one day and coping of travertine squares were lay and cemented into pool. The travertine overhangs the pool 2 inches all the way around. I have two cut outs and the travertine appears to be a safety hazzard for bumping head. I don't know about them redoing it since when they take it out they have to grind down to put in the correct bullnose coping in. If I go with present coping here are my concerns and questions.
QUESTIONS
1. Being travertine will it not break and crack the two inches it is overhanging on the pool?
2. The area under it will it become moldy over time?
3. Safety wise, What about the two edges the come out from the pool won't people hit there eye or head on them?
Thank you for responses,

Welcome to TFP. I am sorry the reason is a problem/concern. Can you share a picture of your main areas of concern so we can see what you are dealing with.

Do you have water in the pool yet? I have an idea but it will only work if there is no water in the pool yet.

mkv,

Welcome to TFP... A Great resource for all your pool questions whether your Hill has a Fountain or not... :shark:

A picture would be great because the coping on all the pools I have seen overhangs the pool by about 2 inches...

I personally like the look of bullnose coping, but my daughter's pool has a squared chiseled-edge coping which overhangs 2 inches and it does not seem to have any safety issues.

Thanks for posting,

Jim R.
