Coping on fiberglass

I've spent most of my time here over in the water chemistry area but I thought this question fit better here. I am having my coping done on my fiberglass pool. They are suppose to pull the forms of today. The concrete guy said they were coming back tomorrow to touch up with plaster. Is this normal process? I guess I've always heard the term plaster associated with gunite pool finish and not fiberglass.

Is plaster coping ok with swcg pools?

Is he using plaster/grout to seal any gap between the fiberglass and the coping?

It sounded like he was using plaster to smooth out the coping (roundness) and repair parts that came off when the forms were removed.

But I am no concrete expert.

With poured coping, you end up with air pockets and voids. Pretty common practice to fill with cement or mortar. Not sure about plaster.
