Coping. I wanted a pun here, something like Unhealthy Coping Mechanism, or Cross Your Heart & Cope(ing) to die, or Cope for the Best.....

I don't post often. Every question that usually comes up for me, I'm able to search to find what I need. But here we are.

My daughter cut her hand on the broken coping (pic). Or I guess they are coping covers? I'm still learning the terminology, so please correct me if I'm wrong.

Old PVC coping covers with aluminum coping track is what I have, I think. Because I didn't know my ladder needed pool locks, it pushed down and cracked my coping covers. It also pulled the liner out of the track in that spot.

I have since installed locks, but I wasn't aware they need to be re-tensioned every so often, and it slipped down again, that's when she got cut. She's 7, so imagine how happy my wife was. LOL.

I've been trying to find a replacement piece online with no luck. I've also been looking for a part number printed or etched in the coping or the track, but I've not been able to find one.

The only thing I did find was on the back of the liner, but I don't think that will correlate to coping at all. It looks like the liner was manufactured in 2015, so is it safe to assume I have a 8-9 year old liner? How will I know it's time for a new one?

Also, these things are a monster to snap back on the track once they've been removed. I've only been able to get one short piece snapped back in. Any advice on that? Is there a technique, tool, or method that is better. I really don't want to end up with a bunch of broken pieces of coping. Other pieces will need to be removed as I'm adding liner lock to a few places the liner is pulling away from the coping around the pool. I thought about putting some magic lube on the underside of the cover, but not sure if that's the right move.

So to recap,
1. Where to find PVC coping covers that match.
2. Thoughts to repair broken cover if it can't be replaced.
3. Liner age/expected replacement?
4. Method/hack/tool/video to remove, snap back in?
