Hey Guys, sorry for the late reply, my parents came in town for a visit.
I feel the general consensus here is as follows
1. I should definitely do something to tie in the piping before the filter so that when the hot tub is running it can be filtered.
2. Should install some kind of valve from the spa suction pipe that gets tied in with the rest of the suction pipes by the main pool pump
I am sorry kadavis, your post was a little bit like greek to me. I tried to follow but not sure since I don't know what a rambit or fitting extender is. I think you are saying to go with Meadow and put a three way jandy valve on the suction pipe of the spa and run a connecting pipe from the left to the right and take off the elbow joint that is just before the pool pump and put an extender on it and then that is where I will connect the new pipe. Then just move the pool pump down a bit and tie it back in.
Soooo it seems to me that I can either use the filter in the setup OR the spa jets but not both. If I am using a valve to divert the flow so that the pool pump pulls water from the spa then if i run the spa pump it won't work because it wont suck anything up.
If I am not closing my pool and can run the pump every day and filter the water is it so bad if I just re-pipe it so that the can divert the spa return through the heater? Then when I am done I run the pool pump and get all the hot tub water cycled through the pool filter the next day? Does that make sense?
