I converted to a swg system a few months ago based on recommendations here. Now the generator is not working because the water is too cold. The fc is at 7ppm and it seems to be dropping. Will i need to add chlorine or should I just heat my.pool to 51 degrees to get it to kick on and let it overproduce?

Thanks
Jason

You add liquid chlorine as necessary during the cool months. Typically from mid to late December until mid to late February.

Test a couple times a week and maintain your FC based on your CYA level.

+1. You'll get a feel for how long the manually added FC is lasting and adjust your test/add intervals as necessary. A days supply lasts several days, then a week or weeks. 5 days later with your short winter, the daily demand starts slowly increasing again.
