Hi TFP,
For the life of me I can't figure out why my PH is always high. I brought it down to 7.2 once, the next morning it was testing again at 7.6-7.8. I don't ever aerate (we have a waterfall and an aerator nozzle that I never turn on, no spillover from a hot tub or anything, the jets don't break the surface, etc), I don't have a SWG, the plaster is not anywhere near now, and my TA seems pretty reasonable to me. We bought this house at the start of April, since then I've gone through 4 gallons of 31% MA. This seems like a lot of usage for a 14k gallon pool.
Here's my latest test results:
FC 7
PH 7.6
TA 80
CYA 60
CH 500
I understand that 7.6 is fine for PH, but I feel like I'm adding ridiculous amounts of acid for my pool size to keep it there.
