I have a fiberglass pool and what Leisure Pools want and what my Raypak heater wanter are different so which one do you follow. I'm more inclined to be what the heater wants. What do you guys think?

what n the range of what raypak wants vs the pool . 7B42EE3A-4640-415C-A723-5A8EE41FE267_1_105_c.jpegD510F1AC-72A9-40B7-B6B6-73C57BF8BCDD_1_105_c.jpeg

It will not be easy. You will add baking soda to raise the TA to their requirements. Then, the pH will be higher than they state so you add acid. That lower the TA. We also call it the ph TA hamster wheel.

My TA is 120 now and my PH is 7.7. I'm not a chemist so I just want to be sure that I'm not damaging my heater that's all. Assume its fairly hard to damage fiberglass and figure the heater is more fragile.

I'm just a simple kid from Erie, PA, I don't understand what that means?

Goats are hard to catch and even harder to work with, just like those manufacturers parameters for your pool and heater. Equipment not designed for use. Most of it comes from 30 years ago when acidic trichlor pucks were the sanitizer of choice but now it seems like it’s all about those manufactures not being liable for any warrantee claims because it’s now the fault of the end user who couldn’t keep within their set parameters.
