Concrete/Mortar Staining on Diamond Brite Surface

Hi Guys - we did a pretty decent overhaul of our pool where the old white coping and upper pool trim tiles were removed and replaced with pavers/new tiles.

In the process of demo, with the pool almost empty, there were obviously some cavities/voids that needed leveling/fill. This resulted in some concrete falling onto the Diamond Brite surface and while we tried to keep it as clean as possible, it appears some staining has occurred.

My question is, is there a way of getting these stains out and how so?

@bdavis466 @onBalance carefully apply some acid locally to the stains?

I would start with a wire brush and move up to a diamond sanding pad.

Acid will work but it will noticeably roughen that area which will make it more susceptible to stains

Thanks guys. We wound up draining the pool (again) and having some folks come in and acid wash the entire surface (again). Hit some of the tougher areas with a pumice stone and all is looking good! Appreciate the feedback!
