Hello, I am brand new to TFP. My pool is under construction at the moment, a 20x40 liner pool, doing all of the work myself with some help of family and friends. I’m getting to the point where I’m about to form up for my concrete deck and was curious about where do I need to cut expansion joints? Do I need to put expansion joints through the skimmers? Any other critical points that need expansion joints? Also, I have helped pour several concrete slabs, just never for a pool so I am wondering about pouring around the coping, I’ve heard of a foam strip that needs to be placed between the back of the coping and concrete when pouring, but I am not sure if that is needed or not. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
