Concerns about my concrete floor in pool

Pretty much how mine should have been done. Rebar laid in the footer and vertical rebar coming out for the wall. I'm still debating on trying to build this myself. I'm thinking of ripping out the concrete, pouring the 8" footers ( with rebar) and the concrete walls with lateral/ verticle rebar. Then a vermiculite bottom, liner, cantilever coping.

My other thought is this: since the poly walls are lighter than concrete.....get the 48" walls and set on top of my current concrete. That may require some more excavation for the braces....not sure. But then I'm not sure how I would do the pool bottom. I have friends that have installed the poly walls and could help. I suppose I could still rip it all out and pour a footer for the poly walls, and do vermiculite on bottom.....hmmm
I wanted you to see Daves because it shows his footers and walls. Block is actually a bit lighter than poured in place walls.

Also he built the walls first the the floor.

I can't recall anyone doing floor first.

I'm once again excited about my pool build:) A pool company came to check out my mess. He was here for 2 hours, and explained exactly how he could work with what I have. We went over the design, and it's better than what my original plan was. It's going to cost about $5k more, but it will be worth it. Oh....and my ex contractor gave back what was to be refunded. The new builder said it would be around 3rd week of September before he can start on mine, which I'm thrilled with. He will be giving me his detailed quote tomorrow, and I imagine I will be signing a contract with him. Thanks for everyone's advice.....

I will for sure! I'm going to have to wait until next spring to do the patio around the pool. So, my yard will be a mess this winter. Ill need to build my savings back up.....plus give the ground time to settle.

I will update my sig with equipment when I get the model numbers. The filter and pump will be Pentair. (2 speed pump) PB mentioned a 24" filter. Should I go with a 27 or 30" instead?
What an awesome update! Keep us updated with pics and stories please!
