Hi,
New home, pool, and issue for me.

I have a Compool P3800 that the factory rep says is shot. It is driven by the LX3800 outside. The CP3800 beeps, loses power for a couple of seconds, as evidenced by a blank display panel, and then comes back on. Intermittent. Sometimes hours, sometimes 10 minutes. Pumps continue to run throughout without intermission. Seems like power is failing to the CP3800 and then rebooting. I reset breakers. Afraid to do the reset on the controllers with the hidden button since it is running, just annoying.
Thanks for any advise you might have.

Welcome to TFP.

Is the LX3800 panel restarting when the P3800 reboots?

Have you checked the cable running to the P3800 for loose connectors or critters chewing on it?

Hi Aj,
Thanks for taking the time to respond. No it’s no, t just keeps on.

I had heard from a couple of people that it may be the cable connecting the outside unit o the CP. I tried diagnosing from the outside unit test cable but wasn’t able to make a determination. I then made up a new cable yesterday and it has been communicating flawlessly since yesterday afternoon. Thanks for taking the time to pass along your advise and experience.
