I couldn't find an answer to this so I'll ask it. I've been re-evaluating my overall pool care strategy due to a severe mustard outbreak this week (resolved in a different thread).
I have a manual pool vacuum that I regularly use in addition to brushing. I see the need to vacuum the pool floor in order to pick up the heavier grit that the brush just pushes around. But is it necessary to vacuum the walls? It seems like I can just brush the walls and vacuum the floor after some settling time.
The reason I ask is my vacuum is difficult to operate on the walls. The hose pulls up on it and the back end of it just wants to scrape down the wall unless I pull it really hard to the wall with the pole.
Do I need a different vacuum head? Or can I just skip vacuuming the walls?
