Cloudy white water won't clear

Depending on the situation, the pool pump can put out a surprising amount when going to waste. It's how I lower my pool below the jets each fall. Using that, combined with the rental, likely will give you more capacity out than the truck uses to pump water in. A conversation with the hauling company should give you an idea of how fast theirs goes in, so you can roughly match what is going out. Then it is just a matter of turning pumps on/off as needed when the new water is being added....

Beware -- this discussion of rapid drain/refill methods will likely result in significant mixing. That is fine as long as you understand it will likely take more water volume to achieve the objective.

You are right - the OP will have think about that. All depends on cost for 10K gal amounts. He could end up having to get double that. Or go with the plan to just do a total fill with low/very low CH after the liner replacement.
