So after reading about how to remove iron from my pool water and successfully doing so I’m now at a new junction. Having to add algeaside to the water to control the growth of algae because I read that I should not add bleach to the water to aid in the prevention of the iron reappearing in te pool. After being successful with the iron I now have a cloudy pool not being able to see the button of the pool. These are my numbers chlorine-0

I’m about to close the pool and give up. It’s been two months.

Not sure where you read that bad advice, but you can't just dump algaecide in your pool to get rid of algae. You need chlorine. And I really hope you haven't already added a copper algaecide, because if so you now have to deal with a whole new metal problem...

You need to follow the SLAM Process.

So this past forum told you not to add chlorine, something required to keep a pool sanitary and safe, for two weeks? So if you regularly use a maintenance dosage of this product you're supposed to regularly close the pool for two weeks?

Sounds like a forum you shouldn't go back to and probably should forget everything you read there. There's some real numbskulls out there. Other forums allow them to post freely, TFP doesn't.

Please follow the SLAM Process.

Stains in Your Pool - Trouble Free Pool Talks about treating metal in pool water :)

May I ask where you read about how to remove metal from pool water? What is considered successful? Thanks!
