Cloudy water will not go away...need advice please!

Sorry not in signature line:

Intex 18' x 48" Ultra Frame
Intex SWG Filter + Regular Intex Filter Pump

I am at work so I don't have my numbers but when testing (with the Taylor Kit), everything is fine. FC, TC, PH, CYA etc...all is perfect!

SLAM was done twice. And I did it the correct way and received clear water then it went cloudy again.

We've had cloudy water for a few weeks now (like a milky cloudy). It seems once I slammed the pool there was a tan like residue that got on the side walls, ladder and a film on top. We have done everything in our power to get this resoled. We even had a three hour water test by a professional who said we just need to add 4 bags of super chlorination 73. The water tests okay and we've done everything we know to clear it up. We even added a clarifier and it still wont clear up. The overnight test was okay too.

We have scrubbed the walls, vacuumed, let the filter rest & vacuum again, changed filters etc...

Besides draining the pool do you all have any other ideas on what we could do?

When you get home run a full suite of tests and post them here.

You most likely need to follow the SLAM through to the end - meeting all three criteria. One of those is crystal clear water, which you do not have!

Take care.

Yep, what he said ^^^

I'd also pull the ladder out and gibe it a good going-over. Problem Found and Ideas needed

Interesting that your SLAM was complete with all three criteria
CC is 0.5 or lower;
You pass an OCLT (ie overnight FC loss test shows a loss of 1.0 ppm or less);
And the water is clear.
and the cloudy water returns. How long did the previous SLAM's take?

If you would like more feedback please list a fresh set of full test results and we can continue to help you investigate.

Take care.

SLAM was done twice

Did you do the SLAM with the help of people in this forum?
How often are you testing?
I saw you just got the kit at the end of June and had no FC/CYA in a previous post, what happened after that with the 2 SLAM's?
If you post the current #'d the folks around here will get you clear I watch them do it every day for tons of people.

So your water was clear, you passed the overnight test, and you had no combined Chlorine?

And now you're cloudy again. Boo to that and how frustrating.

Are you sure you've been keeping your fc correct for your cya since ending your SLAM? Testing chlorine every day. The cya test is very subjective, so it's definitely possible to misread it, especially if not performed in full midday sun.

Make sure to take anything out of your pool too. Algae can live on toys, floats, etc. Even the ladder should come out and get a good scrubbing with bleach. And clean that filter cartridge too.

If you can, once it's clear, turn your SWG up to a higher level as well.

Try ordering a Duda diesel bag. They're basically bags meant for filtrating diesel oil. But you can cut the ring off of it and use it by clamping it onto a 90 degree return fitting. Let it get dirty it will filtrate finer they make them in 5 micron. Also I recommend skimmer socks. Keep the proper levels in Slam levels and try some triple filtration as I mentioned and you might be able to clear that cloud out. Worst case scenario you flock it and lose a little bit of water
